Mission

Angel Tree

Christmas is coming and the Mission Committee is looking forward to continuing the tradition of our ANGEL TREE. Through Lighthouse North, we will be helping to share our Christmas spirit with others in the community by sponsoring two families and a senior. A tree will be set up in our fellowship hall with gift tags. Be sure to stop by our tree and pick one or more ornaments to help fulfill a wish for someone in need. The tree will be up in the dining room by Sunday, November 23. This will give you three Sundays to select a gift item off the tree and bring it back unwrapped to give to one of the recipients. Unwrapped gifts will be due back to church Sunday, December 7, and simply placed under the tree. For those who prefer, cash or checks may be donated and the mission committee will do the shopping.

***Also, please note look for the sign-up clipboard and match the tags to the corresponding gift number.  This helps us stay organized and avoid mix-ups!

Thank you for your continued support of this worthwhile project.

     Joanne Prudhomme.

Youth Bottle and Can Drive

The Youth Fellowship group will be collecting returnable cans and bottles from December 7th through January 11th.  There will be collection bins at all entrances to the church building. Bring your clean cans and bottles and just drop them in the bins. Please be sure your bags contain only returnable cans and bottles, no garbage. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help promote fellowship activities, fund the New Wilmington Missionary Conference and support Van. Have too many cans/bottles to bring to church? Call the church office and leave a message. We’ll arrange to have them picked up from your home. We thank you in advance for your support.
