Waterford CROP Hunger Walk

We had another good day for a Crop Walk. It seems like the weather forecast can sound pretty bad sometimes but the cool weather made it prefect for a wonderful five mile walk. My walking partner was Dan Pociecha this year; we also had Debbie Kendrick and Liam O’Dea, Rev. Thomas Hartley, Chris Hartley, and the Williams children Joseph, Natalie and Samuel. At this time and with two envelopes still out, we can say that our church has raised $1000.00 for feeding the hungry. Good job and thanks to all who donated!!!

Angel Tree

Christmas is coming and the Mission Committee is looking forward to continuing the tradition of our ANGEL TREE. Through Lighthouse North, we will be helping to share our Christmas spirit with others in the community by sponsoring two families and a senior. A tree will be set up in our fellowship hall with gift tags. Be sure to stop by our tree and pick one or more ornaments to help fulfill a wish for someone in need. The tree will be up in the dining room by Sunday, November 23. This will give you three Sundays to select a gift item off the tree and bring it back unwrapped to give to one of the recipients. Unwrapped gifts will be due back to church Sunday, December 7, and simply placed under the tree. For those who prefer, cash or checks may be donated and the mission committee will do the shopping.

***Also, please note look for the sign-up clipboard and match the tags to the corresponding gift number.  This helps us stay organized and avoid mix-ups!

Thank you for your continued support of this worthwhile project.

Do you do online banking?

If you do, did you know that you can arrange for your bank or credit union to send your pledge/offering in the form of a check to the church every month or on a schedule of your choice?

If you don’t carry checks or cash or sometimes are slightly forgetful, this may be something you want to look into. A couple of our members are already doing this and report that they are happy with the arrangement.

It only takes a few minutes to go to your bank and make the arrangements. The bank will need the church address.

Scrip Table

Beginning in October, the Membership & Evangelism Committee will be hosting the Scrip Table to raise funds to finance various sanctuary technology enhancements, i.e. new microphones, etc. Buy those cards, use your Kroger Plus card, save your Tenuta receipts.  All contribute to various activities and programs in our church!
