Annual Waterford Crop Walk
Our Waterford Ministerial Association is sponsoring our 15th annual hunger walk for Church World Service CROP WALK 2015 on world wide communion Sunday, Oct 4th. The walk begins with a registration time of 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church near Williams Lake Rd and Airport Rd. An opening report is given by Pastor John Negele and a brief worship time concludes at 2 p.m. when the actual neighborhood walk starts. There are 3 routes that may be taken: a 1 mile; a 3.4 mile; or a 5.5 mile course. Each year, there is a wonderful hospitality table with soup, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks free of charge on site! Last season we raised $1,140.50 at CPC, and together with a total of 9 congregations raised a grand total of $12,802.38 for hunger!
